Enhancing Memory Efficiency: A 4 part series (90 minutes each session) in a highly interactive group format. Learn tips and techniques to improve attention and memory efficiency based on current research evidence. Topics include: strategic use of external reminders, organizational strategies, chunking, internal memory techniques, mnemonic strategies, novel interacting images for names, spaced retrieval and self-testing, prospective memory and a general overview for improving overall cognitive functioning. This program is geared for several audiences: adults with intact memory skills who want to improve their attention and efficiency; adults with mild impairment. For individuals with early dementia or mild impairment, we recommend their spouses attend also to help reinforce the strategies presented. Homework is given for practice and implementation of techniques.
